There’s more to the Easter story than just chocolate eggs,  we know this day Jesus was said to come to life after being crucified. Jesus was buried in a tomb guarded by a huge stone. A couple of days after his death the tomb was found open and empty with the huge rock rolled aside. Jesus had indeed risen from the dead! Easter is therefore, a time of great celebration for Christians.
Why do we receive and give easter eggs?
Eggs are associated with new life, early Christians used them as a visual symbol of the resurrection of Jesus. Early easter eggs where bird eggs that were vibrantly painted and decorated which they were given as offerings and gifts to family & friends.
Christ Has Risen!
