The Creative Suite

Being at university studying such a demanding course (Interior Architecture & Design) I felt like I didn’t have any time on my hands to explore and learn new skills. I only had time to do set works and compete it to the best of my ability and to do it the way I know... regret of not exploring more? hmm. As I’m out of education (Woohoo) and have recently graduated, my learning does not stop! It should keep on growing! I’ve set myself a goal to learn something each day or produce something creative...so far its going well :D

As I have hours on my hands I have taken time to revisit my final project which was a proposal for BL-NK space in Shoreditch. I have done extra visuals to boost my portfolio, here are some before & afters.

Having a long list of producing creative stuff I decided start with Illustrator... let me be very very very honest I don’t know hoe to use Illustrator for shit (Lool) all I knew was how to perfect line weights from AutoCAD. So this time around Im making effort to learn and use it and to be very comfortable. Here are two creative images I have produced... Thanks to the online tutorials and YouTube Vids.

The Supreme Court took a huge step forward in our progress toward a more perfect union. Today, Gay and Lesbian couples won their right to marry. Today, Love wins! America & the rest of the world celebrates same-sex marriage ruling. 

The world is starting to change small, our voices are being heard and big changes are being made!

Im ALL for same sex marriage/ relationships, I do accept and support it, I’ve never had a problem and neither should you. Nobody can help who they fall for, theres no rules or regulations on who you should love, if there is I personally think thats not love. Remember...

The Bad Friend (s)

Sometimes a friendship may confuse you, you're not really sure about just how loyal, supportive and genuine the friendship is. If you have that gut reaction telling you that your friendship isn't all that anymore... it may be time to identify whether this is a friendship worth keeping.

so here are a few traits of identifying "the bad friend (s) 

**This is just light research, nothing here is right or wrong, we can always find the bad in people especially the people we love or are close to, but also does not mean they are the bad friend. I find if the bad out weighs the good then my radar says bad friend...**

(omg this topic is quite controversial, my head hurts) 

1. The self-centred

"It's all about me, me, me". They will always talk about themselves and only themselves. Also, they won't care about you; they're not interested in your day, how you're feeling, etc. You may also notice that they brag a lot (Wayy too much, most of it is even bullshit!) Whether it be about themselves, materialistic possessions, boyfriend/girlfriend, drugs, hair, work blah blah- they always find something to make them sound better than you, period!

~This type of egocentric person has no theory of mind ( lool fucking robots) they find it difficult to put himself/herself in other people's shoes. They strongly believe everyone should see what he/she sees.

2. The fake

let me keep this short & sweet =)

 This person smiles in your face, but when around other people, they turn and make you feel small by continuously putting you down & throwing bre shade on you, they may do this even when your are present. These kinda people I find to be jealous of you, also find they are incredibly insecure so they feel they have to put you down to make themselves look good. (Pathetic)

(Bitch keep throwing your shade! Stars don’t shine in the light, keep throwing that shade!)

3 The snob.

 This friend never acknowledges your ethnicity/culture. This friend considers you as something else or unusual, and think it's alright to insult your heritage using slang words around you while knowing it offends you. This friend doesn't accept you for all that you are. So narrow minded. Not willing to learn or even understand your ethnicity/culture.

4 The shady 

lool this is so ridiculous I had to include it.

 This type of friend may use spying techniques because they are jealous, nosey as fuck, bored with their life or they want to teach you a lesson. (the ultimate witches/wizards lol)

You might notice that these people always need to know everything. trying to overhear conversations, sneaking to read email, or borrowing cell phones, reading texts, between you and other people and even trying to get information from other people.
~Spies often lie. They may lie about their name, age, etc. (LOOOL) 
~Be careful of extremes of nosiness. They may soon blackmail or bully you.

5 The wannabe Queen Bee.

 This type of person is really dominating.Power is all they know. They don't accept you if you have different opinions to theirs. Some are like this only because they are insecure... hmmm, but others are merely jerks with a need to dominate. (sad, but true) But the most fearsome thing about them is that, Queen Bee’s often take advantage of friendships and might turn your other friends or boys/ girls against you to wreck and break you.

Conclusion 

Cut off toxic friendships. You might need to simply stop all contact with that person. If your friend is manipulative or hurtful and has done something you will never be able to get over, or if you're afraid he or she will have a violent reaction to your friendship's end, just put a stop to it. Stop taking calls and texts, unfriend the person on your social media’s.

Friendly tips 

~Never feel like the underdog in a relationship with a friend, if you’re getting used and he/ or she acts fake whenever you’re around a group of friends that they want to impress- that’s a serious problem ditch that motherf*cker for more uplifting people you can trust! You will feel so much happier, I promise!

~Sometimes friends are clingy because they don’t have many friends or they deeply care for you like a sibling.

~Create boundaries. See how you feel when you are apart from this person. This gives you time to reflect and figure out if they are a good friend for you. 

~Be prepared to have the strength to walk away from the friendship, if fair agreements cannot be met. A friend that bullies is not a friend indeed. You may think  bullying is a little extreme, but it’s a proper serious thing and it’s real & it happens. Not even a joke thing! Find the strength to walk away.

 ~A true friend is willing to acknowledge the issue, and carry their weight in repairing the issue.

~True friends should be there for you regardless.

Westminster Degree Show

Westminster Architecture Degree Show 11 – 14 June 2015. The end of year show includes the work of all students from first year to graduating years of Architecture BA Honours (ARB/RIBA Part 1), Interior Architecture BA Honours and the March (Part 2).

My Cousin kindly invited me to the Degree show which she did her Architecture MA (Part 2). As it was the opening night it was impossible to actually walk around freely, take pictures and admire the beautiful works of the graduating students. It was extremely packed and very humid (great occasion to wear long sleeve black top) It was an evening of celebrations which consisted of plenty of booze. (there were bottles everywhere, literally) Not only was it a night of celebrations It was actually a reunion for the past graduates. My cousin introduced me to several “Architects” (some we had to dodge) I got to hear numerous stories of her and her class mates + tutors. Overall it was a fun night to be in a room full of like minded creative people/ graduates.
Did I mention I bumped into my old tutors from second year...slyly awkward but it was great to see them.
